EUGENIO PICCOLO

Eugenio Piccolo:

He graduated in law from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan. He practised law with Attilio Fontana, former President of the Council of the Lombardy Region, then Mayor of Varese and now President of the Lombardy Region, and in September 1986 he joined the Varese Bar Association. In the same year, he opened his own law firm. Since 1998, he has been a member of the Roll of Advocates at the Court of Cassation. From 2018 to 2020 he was legal advisor to Senator Gianluigi Paragone (XVIII Legislature), in this role he took part in the technical tables for the reform of articles 495, 516, 560 and 569 c.p.c. (Dlgs 135/18 csd Decreto Semplificazione) and was involved in other banking and labour issues. Today he is an Italian partner of the firm and heads the Varese office.

EXPERIENCES and LECTURING
>> In 1993, he collaborated with the monthly information and culture magazine ‘Donne a Varese’, for which he maintained the section ‘Dalla Vostra parte’ (On Your Side), dealing with legal issues. He also collaborated with the monthly magazine ‘Il Nuovo Calcio’, publishing articles.
>> From 1998 to 2017 he was an Associate of Eurojuris Italia – an association of Italian law firms affiliated with Eurojuris International EEIG Brussels, which guarantees through cooperation with foreign professional structures the protection of rights connoted by aspects of internationality.
>> Since 2000 to 2002 he was a member of the board of arbitrators of the national professional football league in Milan, via Rosellini no. 1
>> Since 2001 he has been a member of the Rotary Club Varese Ceresio with repeated management appointments.
>> From 2003 to 2007 he was Municipal Councillor of Porto Ceresio (Va).
>> From 2003 to 2005 he was an editorial collaborator for the private television channel “Rete 55” for which he worked as a columnist in the programmes “Rete 55 Sport” and “Sport Informa” in relation to amateur football in the Province of Varese.
>> From 2005 to 2009 he worked with PROBO VIRO of A.C, Binda, organiser of cycling races of national importance such as the 3 Valli Varesine.
>> In 2006 he was a delegate of Rotary Varese Ceresio for the Seprio Group’s Literacy Commission.
>> From 2007 to 2011 he was a Panathlon Varese Associate – Sports Journalists Category.
>> In 2008 he was Legal Advisor to the World Cycling Championship 2008 Organisation Committee.
>> In 2008/2009 he was President Rotary Club Varese Ceresio.
>> In 2012/2013 he was Collaborator for examination sessions in Institutions of Private Law at Insubria University, Como Branch.
>> From 2018 to 2020 he was juridic consultant to senator gianluigi paragone (XVIII Legislature): in this capacity he participated in the technical tables for the reform of Articles 495, 516, 560 and 569 of the Italian Code of Criminal Procedure (Legislative Decree 135/18 csd Simplification Decree).
